This sunday I visited the Akshardhaam temple with mom and dad. The experience was quite enriching in its own right.
We left at 3 pm and were amazed to see the enormous crowd of people, for one moment we contemplated going back.
Anyhow after parking the car we moved toward the entry. From there on we were subjected to various forms of security check. When all the security checks were over, we proceeded to see the spectacular temple whose view, for a passerby was breathtaking (and I had passed from there quite often, but never had a chance to see it from inside).
The temple is divided into 3 parts, the main temple and the 2 temples on the side. From there on we proceeded to see the main temple, whose carving was done in marble and red stone, the ceilings the walls, everything about the temple was spectacular, after which we proceeded to see the temple to the right. Then we proceeded to see a movie on swaminarayan and his life .
In between, we saw the spectacular musical fountains dancing to the tune of music along with some snacks. From there on we took a boat ride, which showed the evolution of mankind across ages, and those people whose contribution to what we have become.
Soon it was time to go home and we left with an experience never forget but cherish forever.

Jodha-Akbar
My first blog entry and it happens to be about a movie I watched today, and the movie was Jodha- Akbar, I had read two reviews of the same, one not too encouraging and the other one quite encouraging. ( I, deciding strictly not to be swayed by any of them)
The movie starts on a boring note but builds on momentum but I won't go into the details. It can be said that the movie is definitely worth a watch.(but at a theatre)

I had gone with a mind to like the the movie no matter what, as I like epic romances. After watching the movie I felt, I could have done with an edited version of the movie (sitting for 3.5 hours is not an easy task). And actually I wouldn't really mind watching an edited version again. Hrithik and Ash have acted extremely well, Ash more so. ( didn't expect it)
